DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Maine TACF Annual Meeting April 26 at Viles Arboretum in Augusta!\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				All are welcome and encouraged to attend the annual meeting of the Maine Chapter of The American Chestnut Foundation on Saturday\, April 26 at 1:00 PM at Viles Arboretum (153 Hospital St\, Augusta\, ME). Chapter officers Mark McCollough and Eva Butler will give a presentation on Chestnuts Across Maine\, an exciting new chapter initiative to plant chestnut trees at schools\, conservation partners\, and land trusts across Maine. We will have a brief election of board members for the coming year. Chestnut seeds and seedlings will be available for sale (see information about sales elsewhere in the newsletter). Afterward\, we will take a field trip to Readfield\, Maine (about 45 minutes away) to visit one of Maine’s largest surviving chestnut trees. Join us in a family-fun event.
