SUMMARY:Foothill Conservancy Work Day\, Possum Rock River Access
DESCRIPTION:Help plant an American Chestnut Restoration Orchard on December 4 at the Foothill Conservancy’s Possum Rock River Access\, 2789 River Road\, Morganton\, NC. In addition to 100 chestnut trees\, 230 other native hardwoods and shrubs will be planted. Volunteers should arrive at 10 am. Tools\, drinking water\, and lunch will be provided. Dress appropriately for the weather. Wear work shoes and gloves. Bring your own snacks and drinking water. Bring a shovel. Bring a face mask to wear when required. Directions from I-40\, Exit 104\, Enola Road: Travel south on Enola Road for about 15 minutes. Turn left onto River Road. Proceed to Possum Rock River Access.
