SUMMARY:RESMAP Volunteer Day - Penn State University
DESCRIPTION:Volunteers inoculate 6-month old seedlings using the alternate small stem assay method. \nWhat:  RESMAP Data Collection Volunteer Day\nWhen: Friday\, October 8th\, 9:00 AM-4:00 PM (or until finished)\nWhere: Shadehouse of the Forest Resources Lab\, University Park\, PA 16802 (Use 206 Forest Resources Lab for navigation.) \nDescription: After being inoculated on July 10\, 2021 we will be taking canker length measurements on 600+ seedlings. This will involve tracking individual trees\, measuring & recording canker length from the point of inoculation\, and documenting things of interest. This is part of a large project across four additional locations. The seedlings will be planted in the spring of 2022 for continued monitoring and secondary screening.
