SUMMARY:Bringing Back the Giants of the Forest
DESCRIPTION:A painting of American chestnut leaves by Coreysha Stone. \nThis fundraiser and art exhibition opens June 2 and will remain on view until June 29 at the Rising Tide Co-op in Damariscotta\, Maine (map below). “Bringing Back the Giants of the Forest” will combine the efforts of Coreysha Stone\, artist and educator\, and Eric Evans\, breeding coordinator for the ME-TACF Chapter. The purpose is to raise awareness about the American chestnut tree and garner support for its restoration. \nAn opening reception and wine tasting that includes a hands-on-learning program\, presented by Evans\, will be held on June 7 from 5:00-7:00PM.
