DESCRIPTION:Chestnut Planting Workshop\nTuesday\, March 19\, 2024\, 4:00-5:30PM \nJoin us for Part 1 of a 2-part event! Part 1 will be held at Gassaway Field in West Asheville Park and will show you how to plant and care for American chestnut seedlings. The American Chestnut Foundation staff will also talk about current strategies being used to restore this once-prolific tree. Brush clearing and maintenance of the planting area will follow. No supplies needed\, just bring yourself and any questions you may have.
