Martell Forest is the site of the IN-TACF’s American chestnut OxO breeding. We will present the results we have thus far and discuss where we are headed next. Weather permitting, we will lead a tour of our OxO crosses in the field to highlight the pitfalls and the potential of the transgenic American chestnut. Transport is available for those needing assistance on the field tours. This is our meeting where we discuss new projects and elect our officers. Finally, thanks to Walt Beineke and Caleb Kell, we will have a unique opportunity at the conclusion of the meeting to see exactly how we collect scionwood from large wild trees in the woods.
