Thank you to everyone who volunteered to represent PA-TACF at the 2015 PA Farm Show! Twenty members joined over the course of this 8 day event, in Harrisburg to spread the word about PA-TACF. Many thanks for a job well done!
Hundreds of interested Farm Show attendees stopped by our booth to learn about our progress in the restoration work, collect literature, and purchase merchandise. Our new display looked great, providing the perfect platform for telling the story of the American chestnut and the enthusiasm of our volunteers was incredible. A special thanks to Chris Ditlow who once again wowed us with his craftsmanship by donating a beautiful table for our Silent Auction. which raised $300 for our Chapter.
We also want to thank the PA Hardwood Development Council for incorporating the PA-TACF display into their beautiful exhibit. It made for a stand out presentation that wowed attendees and showcased the significance of our Eastern forests.
