TACF Unveils New Brand to Celebrate 40+ Years of American Chestnut Restoration

Asheville, NC 9/5/2024

The American Chestnut Foundation (TACF) is thrilled to announce the launch of its new brand, marking a significant milestone in its more than 40-year journey dedicated to restoring the American chestnut. This exciting development represents the culmination of a multi-year effort to enhance the Foundation’s presence and communications.

For decades, TACF has been synonymous with the resurgence of the American chestnut, a once-dominant tree species devastated by blight. While the Foundation has had a logo for more than three decades, it has never had a fully integrated brand. The introduction of a comprehensive brand strategy will provide a cohesive and consistent presence for TACF’s national office and state chapters, significantly boosting recognition and outreach. “Our new brand is not just a visual update; it’s a reflection of our commitment and the progress we’ve made,” said TACF’s President & CEO Will Pitt. “This streamlined look will enhance our ability to tell the story of the American chestnut and engage with our community in the digital age.”

The new brand includes TACF’s inaugural tagline, “Rooted in Restoration,” and an anthem that captures the essence of the American chestnut and the unwavering dedication of those involved in its restoration. “We are excited to unveil this new brand and share it with our supporters,” added Jules Smith, director of communications. “This is more than a new brand; it’s a powerful tool to advance our mission and tell the story of the American chestnut in a cohesive and compelling way.”
