Clemson students get up-close look at the science behind restoring American chestnut

Clemson forestry students visited Dr. Joe James at Chestnut Return Farm in Upstate South Carolina. This story covers everything from the blight to Phytophthora cinnamomi, the deadly root rot that also had a huge impact on the fate of the American chestnut.
