On Saturday, October 26 the WV-TACF Chapter will be planting 100 American chestnut trees at Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in Glen Jean, WV. The hands of many scouts are needed to assist the chapter in a successful planting at this all-day activity from 9:00AM-5:00PM. The seedlings, two to three feet in height, are from TACF’s Meadowview Research Farms in southwest VA.
Please bring gloves and shovels for digging holes. Pizza and water will be provided for lunch.
All participants will receive a “TACF Volunteer” patch. And, if you find Albert, you will receive a wooden “I FOUND ALBERT” token.
