ME-TACF Talk: Reintroducing a Blight-Tolerant American Chestnut

Join the Belfast Garden Club on Tuesday, March 19, at 2:00PM to hear Glen and Ann Rea of the ME-TACF Chapter describe work TACF is doing to foster reintroduction of a blight-tolerant American chestnut tree. The Reas will discuss how this chestnut tree reintroduction is progressing in Maine. The talk will be held in the Abbott Room of Belfast Free Library (directions below).

Ann Rea serves as treasurer and board member of the ME-TACF Chapter, while Glen Rea serves on the board and acts as a seed orchard manager. They became interested in chestnut tree restoration in 2000 after Ann gave Glen a membership in TACF.
