NC: First Annual Chestnut Carnival

Lyle Estill is delighted to be hosting the first ever Chestnut Carnival on Sunday, October 15 from 2-7 at The Plant on Lorax Lane in Pittsboro. We envision lay and professional folks with horticultural/forestry interest and expertise and related businesses convening to celebrate and save the mighty Chestnut.
That’s why we’d love to see YOU at this event! It’s going to have something for everyone: a charette with landscape architect Preston Montague, shelling machine demo, documentary screening of Clear Day Thunder, chestnut sapling sales, chestnut tastings, etc.
We hope to see you and please share this event widely with your colleagues/students/friends. It would make a great class field trip or organizational outing.
If you are not already aware, The Plant is a unique destination for all things informative and fun for all ages, not to mention all the local food and beverage choices. Come make an afternoon of it!
