Riverfest in will be held in Waynesboro, Virginia, on the 29th of April. This event is sponsored by a nonprofit organization dedicated to the environmental conservation and watershed stewardship in the Shenandoah River Basin. The Virginia Chapter of the American Chestnut Foundation will have two display tables under a large tent. This year, in addition to our display and “Learning Box”, we will have a “Chestnut Survival” game for children. The game is not only entertaining but also teaches the hazards a chestnut must face out in the wild. We need at least two volunteers to run our tables: one to answer questions about our program and one to manage the game. The event starts at 9AM and goes to about 4:30PM. Your help would be greatly appreciated for even part of the day. Please contact Warren Laws at moc.loa@iiswalw or 434-953-5744 if you can help.
