The Tennessee Chapter is excited to host another annual meeting at Tennessee Tech University! Please join us to hear presentations by TACF staff, TN-TACF board members, and chestnut researchers on recent scientific results.
Chestnut seedlings will be distributed during the lunch break. The seedlings are American hybrids derived from more than 25 years of TN-TACF’s backcross breeding program. We will ask for a donation for each set of trees; funds that directly support the work of the Tennessee Chapter. Information on how to grow and maintain chestnut trees will be provided along with the seedlings. TN-TACF board members will be on hand to help explain our breeding program, and to accept new membership applications ($40 per year).
We will end the meeting with a tour of the TN-TACF experimental chestnut orchard on the campus of Tennessee Tech. Come see chestnut breeding in action!
