Volunteer Opportunity in Asheville, NC

The Carolinas-TACF Chapter is seeking volunteers to assist in tree pot sanitization and planting preparation on Thursday, February 20 at the USFS Resistance Screening Center in Asheville, NC (1577 Brevard Rd, 28806). Help is needed to wash and sanitizing 5,000 pots and pot trays for our Phytophthora screening trial this year and conducting general maintenance to prepare the greenhouse for a planting on Thursday, February 27. Please meet at the greenhouse at 9:00AM and be sure to wear layers as the temperature is unpredictable this time of year. This activity shouldn’t take more than a few hours.

*Please note that we will be working with bleach and cold water. Dress in work clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting bleached or stained. We will provide gloves.
