Sheltering in Place in Manhattan—With 18 American Chestnut Saplings

An article about longtime TACF member Bart Chezar and his tireless efforts toward American chestnut restoration has been featured in the Culture section of the Audubon website. Bart, along with volunteers, including elementary school students, has planted multiple trees in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. He shared 18 seedlings with the author who is nurturing them until Bart is ready to plant them in Brooklyn or upstate New York. Read the full story.
