Volunteers plant 4,000 chestnut seeds to restore blighted trees

On February 9, 2019, about 30 members of the MD-TACF Chapter planted 4,000 American chestnut seeds in a warm greenhouse at the Center for Maryland Agriculture and Farm Park in Cockeysville. The work of this committed group of volunteers will allow TACF to study these future saplings, pinpointing the trees that are most genetically resistant to the fungus.
