Saving the American chestnut, featured on SciTech Now

Dr. William Powell, TACF committee member and Co-Director of the American Chestnut Research & Restoration Project at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF), and Andrew Newhouse, Researcher at SUNY-ESF were recently featured in SciTech Now, a PBS program that airs on its affiliate stations. This particular episode was covered by WCNY, Central New York’s PBS station. Powell and Newhouse, along with other researchers and geneticists at SUNY ESF are working to resurrect the American chestnut through genetic engineering. Click here to watch the episode.
