Volunteer Opportunity in Charlotte, NC

The Carolinas-TACF Chapter is seeking volunteers to help plant 300 Phytophthora-resistant chestnut seedlings at TACF’s new orchard in Mountain Island Educational State Forest (528 Killian Rd, Stanley, NC 28164) on Saturday, February 29. Please meet at 10:00AM and bring gloves, a hand shovel (if available), a bucket, water, and lunch. The time it takes to finish will depend on how many volunteers participate, so join us on the 29th for this important work, and be part of American chestnut restoration!
