Harvest at Lesesne State Forest!

Harvest time has come! Volunteer to help collect and/or shuck burs with the chapter. We will be outside, so wear appropriate clothing and solid shoes, and bring a hat, gloves, water, and a snack.

 

You should bring thick work gloves (the burs are VERY spiky!). If you don’t have any, we will have some extras on hand.

Join us at Lesesne State Forest (LSF) in Roseland, VA. Coordinates: 37.83619, -78.97078 Additional instructions: There is no specific address, enter Lesesne State Forest Trail Head into your GPS or on Google Maps it will get you here. (Lat, long: 37.83619, -78.97078). You should be on Cub Creek Rd/680. There is a metal gate, to enter the orchard/planting area, drive through the gate and take the first right. This will take you to a shed where you can park
