Harvest in Edneyville NC

The NC/SC Chapter of The American Chestnut Foundation invites you to participate in our hybrid American chestnut harvest! We’ll be gathering at Pryor Orchard in Edneyville Township, NC, on Saturday, September 21st, starting at 10:00 AM.
The Pryor Orchard is located at 12 Will Hill Road, Edneyville, NC, but we suggest the following GPS Coordinates:

The orchard is located off Timber Trail Road and may have limited cell signal. We recommended downloading directions prior to the workday.

If you’re interested in attending, please come prepared for fieldwork. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing, Bring work gloves and a pole saw if you have them— we’ll provide all necessary tools at the orchard.
Before the harvest begins, we’ll offer a brief presentation on American chestnut trees and proper planting techniques.
