The VT/NH Chapter of the American Chestnut Foundation is once again pleased to offer free American chestnut seeds to Chapter members. If you would like to participate, or have related questions, please contact Dan Jones at: moc.nsm@senoj_b_leinad
The nuts were harvested from wild American chestnuts so they may eventually become blighted. These nuts have no inherent blight resistance or tolerance, even though they were harvested from trees which have survived well themselves.
Generally, we send each participant about eight nuts and eight deep pots, depending on availability. Nuts will be sent to you in early April with planting instructions and can be potted immediately. They must be protected in the event of late frost.

Thank for your interest in, and support for, chestnut restoration,
