The Annual Meeting of the CT-TACF Chapter will be held on Sunday, March 31 at 10:00AM (opening reception at 9:30AM) at the CT Forest & Park Association’s (CFPA) Headquarters, 16 Meriden Rd, Rockfall, CT. Featured guest speaker will be TACF Director of Science, Dr. Jared Westbrook, who will present “Finishing Selection in Backcross Seed Orchards and Diversifying Transgenic Populations.” There will also be an opportunity to tour the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station’s chestnut orchards where the Clapper and Graves trees are located. Those who want to participate in the tour should either meet at the CFPA parking lot at 7:30AM to carpool, or meet the group at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station’s Lockwood Farm at 890 Evergreen Avenue in Hamden at 8:00AM.
