On Saturday, March 30, a lecture and panel discussion titled “The American Chestnut: When Will It Flourish Again?” will take place at the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University from 9:00AM-12:30PM. Come listen to experts share perspectives on the history of the tree, its significance as a forest species, and subsequent decimation by an invasive blight pathogen, Cryphonectria parasitica. This is a collaborative effort between TACF and The Arnold Arboretum.
The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. For more information and to registration online, click here or call (617) 384-5277. Click here to view the printable flyer.
