YQI Nontechnical Talk – Rowan Jacobsen – The Nature of Nature

A lecture by Rowan Jacobsen presented by the Yale Quantum Institute on nature and bioengineering on Thursday, September 5th at 7:30 PM.  Rowan published an in depth article about the pros and cons of using bioengineering to restore the American chestnut in Pacific Standard (article can be read here: https://psmag.com/ideas/most-controversial-tree-in-the-world-gmo-genetic-engineering? ).  The lecture will include bioengineering topics in addition to the American chestnut but we thought it would be of interest to many of our members.  Tickets are free and can be ordered here:
