Festival of Wood – Grey Towers Historic Site

Help represent TACF at this two-day family event focused on environmental education at historic Grey Towers — the summer retreat of Gifford Pinchot, two-time Governor and the first Chief of the US Forest Service. Volunteer for a couple hours to share your knowledge and interest in the American chestnut.
Our display provides a helpful visual aid for sharing the whole story including its: life, death, and birth. We will also provide volunteers with educational handouts, membership information and pencils and stickers for the kids.
