MA/RI Chapter Baby Bald Eagles & Chestnuts

The Massachusetts/Rhode Island Chapter of The American Chestnut Foundation will present a free public program on Tuesday 10/1/19 which will be hosted at MassWildlife Headquarters in Westborough, MA, the state’s first Zero Net Energy office building. The program begins at 7:00 PM with doors opening at 6:30 PM to allow time to view the indoor trout stream.

The program will begin with American Chestnut 101 by Brad Smith, MA/RI director, followed by a presentation, entitled Baby Bald Eagles & Chestnuts, by author, falconer, veterinary technician, and wildlife rehabilitator, Dianne Benson Davis, and retired MassWildlife biologist, Bill Davis. Dianne and Bill will discuss their involvement with the restoration of the American Bald Eagle in Massachusetts and the potential for the restoration of the American chestnut to enhance open space and benefit people and wildlife alike. There will be Q & A and signing Ms. Davis’s book: EAGLE ONE: Raising Bald Eagles – A Wildlife Memoir.
