CT Chapter American Chestnut Planting at McKeon Farm GCO

In 2025 a Germplasm Conservation Orchard was started at McKeon Farm located at 60 Old Stagecoach Rd. in Ridgefield, CT with nuts harvested from productive American chestnut trees in CT forests. This year we will add more trees by planting nuts harvested last fall. We will prepare planting sites, plant and apply deer fencing around each tree location. Bring water, gardening gloves and insect/tick repellant.
