We are planning to plant hybrid chestnut trees on April 29 from 9am-4pm (or whenever we wrap up). These are trees from TACF’s breeding program that will be used for continual research on disease resistance. We have ~120 trees to plant and will be applying short tree shelters and canvas for herbivory and competition. Come prepared to work in field or forest conditions; wear appropriate clothing and solid closed-toe shoes. Bring gloves, a hat, sunscreen, bug spray, water, lunch, and a shovel if you have one! Please RSVP using this link, so we know to expect you: https://theamericanchestnutfoundation.volunteerlocal.com/volunteer/?id=90482
