Shucking party

The Fall Harvest was very successful, thanks to all the volunteers who braved all that rain! And now that we have all those burrs, we need help get the nuts out! Come to our Shucking Party (bring gloves!) and help up open, select, list and track all the nuts coming from our CT chestnut trees to send to TACF for controlled plantings and research purposes.
Feel free to bring Chestnut/Fall themed refreshment/baked goods to share to make it a tasty shucking party!
Come anytime between 4 and 8 pm, stay as little or as long as you want!
