GA-TACF friends, members, and supporters:

We want to again invite everyone to GA-TACF's Third Annual Chestnutoberfest celebration at River Remedy Brewing in Rome on Oct 17 (1 - 7 pm). This is a family-friendly event held to thank volunteers and to educate the public about what we are doing. Our latest version of chestnut beer (Chestnutoberfest Helles Bock) will be tapped that day. In addition to displays explaining our program and how you might get involved, we will have some cool new chestnut merchandise, food (including fire-roasted chestnuts), and great conversation with like-minded folks. Our board members and experienced volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions you might have.

Bluegrass/Southern Rock trio Jessee & the Boys will play from 2 - 5 pm.

Come learn about what we do and get a little nutty!

Hello GA-TACF Volunteers!
We have added one final shift to this year's harvest work. This Thursday Oct. 8 from 2 - 6 pm volunteers will be needed to help shuck burs, count seeds, and package seeds for cold storage. Please use the link copied below to sign up for this shift. Please also keep in mind our Chestnutoberfest event on Saturday Oct. 17 from 1 - 7 pm at River Remedy Brewing in Rome. We'd love to see this year's volunteers there give thanks in person!

The American Chestnut Foundation America's Forests with Chuck Leavell🌳 Introducing Our Fourth Quarter Charity: The Georgia Chapter of The American Chestnut Foundation!

This quarter, we’re putting our support behind an organization working to bring the American chestnut tree back to its place in Georgia’s forests. Through restoration efforts, scientific research, and public education, the Georgia Chapter is helping preserve this piece of our natural heritage for future generations. Their work even hits close to home through local partnerships like Berry College!

At River Remedy, we believe being part of a community means investing in the place we call home — and that includes the natural world around us. As always, every pint poured helps us give back to the organizations making a difference right here in Northwest Georgia.
