We will be starting to collect chestnut burs from several American chestnut trees through out the state starting this Thursday and extending into next week. The schedule has been quick to put together and may be changing based on weather or other factors. IF you would like to help at one of the harvest locations, please RSVP to Jack Swatt at 203-592-4686 so we can have an idea of how many people will be there. Also remember all safety precautions for COVID will be in place such as social distancing and masks when unable to keep a distance of 6 feet. Dress for ticks and prickers and thick gloves would be helpful.
